For health related studies

Students pursuing careers in healthcare can apply for scholarships from the Bedford Community Health Foundation. Application requirements, which include residency in the Town or County of Bedford, can be found at www.healthybedford.org. The deadline for application is June 1 and the application can be completed and submitted on line.

The scholarships provide financial assistance for anything from nursing assistant courses to graduate degrees. Recent recipients have included students pursuing dentistry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, practical nursing and doctor of nurse practitioner. The scholarships will not cover the first year of a four-year program. Last year alone the Foundation awarded over $31,000 in scholarships.
